Building simple machines with Mr. Nick

Through the use of WEDO (educational robotic kits), students learn about arrays and measurement.  While students construct their robots, they are encouraged to relate math concepts with robotics components.

Students learn about different types of simple machines, such as: levers, gears, wheels, axles and pulleys. By learning about simple machines, students are able to make complex machines such as wheelbarrows, cranes, a railroad crossing gate and a popcorn cart.
